A Den Chief is a Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, or Venturer assisting a Cub Scout Den. To become a Den Chief, you must complete an online Training course, and attend additional training with adult and senior scout leaders.

Den Chief Training

Den Chief patchMarch 12, 2016
8am to Noon
720 Link Road (Rockville Bible Church)
Fairfield, CA

This training is REQUIRED if you are going to be a Den Chief for a local pack, or serve at Day Camp.  The cost is $10 (increases to $20 after March 4).

Download the registration form here! Mail the form and payment to Registrar Christy Neura at the address on the form.

Prior to attending training, candidates will need to complete the Online Den Chief Training Module. The module identifies den chief responsibilities and tasks, and describes the den chief’s relationship to the adult den leaders and how that relates to the den chief’s activities with the den.  After finishing the online training, print the certificate of completion and bring it to the training.

Click here to go to the online “Den Chief Training” module.  It should take about 45 minutes to complete the training module.

Participants will receive the Den Chief Handbook and prepare a kit for use with their dens.  Scout uniform without sash is expected.
